Warren Lee

Warren joined Canaan in August 2005 from Comcast Interactive Capital, where he led its investments in and served as a director or observer on the boards of Arbor Networks, Arroyo Video Solutions (acquired by Cisco in August 2006), Broadbus Technologies (acquired by Motorola in July 2006), CommunityConnect, Counterpane Internet Security (acquired by British Telecom in October 2006), netForensics, ReefEdge (acquired by Symantec), and Tripwire.

Before joining the venture community, Warren worked as an engineer and project manager at Solectron Corporation, a corporate development manager at Sun Microsystems, a management consultant at The Boston Consulting Group, and an investment banker in Alex. Brown’s technology group.

Warren holds a B.S. in Computer Science and B.A. in Economics with honors from Stanford University, and an MBA from The Wharton School.

Randall Glein
Randy joined Draper Fisher Jurvetson in 2002 and is a Managing Director of DFJ Growth Fund.  His career spans more than 25 years in the technology and media industries as a venture capital investor, operating executive and entrepreneur.

Prior to co-founding DFJ Growth Fund, Randy was CFO of FeedBurner, a DFJ portfolio company acquired by Google.  He was previously a Managing Director of Tribune Ventures and Corporate Vice President of Tribune Company, where he led early-stage investing and served on the boards of BlackVoices (AOL), Centerpost (West Corp), iExplore (TUI Travel), Intellinex (ACS), Legacy, Performics (DoubleClick) and Teach.com (E&Y / Intellinex).  Randy has also held principal investing positions with CID Equity Partners and Hughes New Ventures, where he participated in the founding investments for DIRECTV, Motient, and XM Radio.  Additionally, Randy served in senior operating positions with DIRECTV and Screenz, where he played key roles in their formation, development and growth.

Randy began his career as an engineer with GM Hughes Electronics and Martin Marietta, where he worked in the fields of wireless and satellite communications, signal processing, and optoelectronics.  He holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School, an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, and a BS with High Honors in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida.

Richard W. Levandov

Richard W. Levandov has more than 20 years of senior executive and principal investing experience in a variety of technology companies. Prior to joining Masthead, he was a private investor and consultant to venture stage technology companies. From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Levandov was a partner with SOFTBANK Technology Ventures. While at SOFTBANK, he led investments in several companies, including Personalogic (acquired by AOL) and Art Technology Group (ARTG). From 1994 to 1996, Mr. Levandov served as Vice President of Business Development at America Online. From 1983 to 1993, Mr. Levandov was a co-founder and Vice President of Phoenix Technologies, Ltd., a personal computer systems software company that went public in 1988. He was lead investor and served on the boards of Valent Software Corporation (acquired by Lycos), Sombasa Media (acquired by PrimeMedia), Software.com (acquired by OpenWave), Mobilee (acquired by Natural MicroSystems), Bright Mail (acquired by Symantec) and OLiVER (acquired by LivePicture).

Mr. Levandov holds a B.S. degree from Binghamton University. He is a Director of Intercasting Corp., Liquid Machines, Newsgator, Nexaweb and Tacoda, which are Masthead portfolio companies.

Mike Gordon

Mike Gordon was a founder of Meritech in 1999 and currently focuses on the communications equipment and service provider and semiconductor sectors. He has been directly involved with Airgo Networks, BigBand Networks, Calix Networks, Commverge Solutions, FiberTower, Integrated Solutions, Omneon Networks, Tele Atlas, Visto Corporation and Vonage.

Mike joined Meritech Capital Partners from Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown where he was a Managing Director and Senior Research Analyst and focused on companies in the communications, networking, wireless data, semiconductor and service provider segments. Mike was the research analyst during the equity financings of Ciena, Broadcom, and JDS Uniphase and was recognized as a two-time Wall Street Journal All Star Analyst. Prior to joining Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown, Mike worked at Montgomery Securities and Salomon Brothers.

He holds a B.A. in Economics and Public Policy from Stanford University.
