Tremor Media Names Former Coke Exec VP of Marketing

Shane Steele Hired to Lead Marketing and Branding Initiatives for Leading Video Ad Network

January 20, 2008 – New York – Tremor Media, the leading video advertising network and provider of the Acudeo Video Monetization Platform, today announced that it hired former digital media consultant and Coca-Cola marketing executive Shane Steele as its Vice President of Marketing.

Ms. Steele will oversee all marketing efforts for the online video ad network, with a focus on differentiating Tremor Media from other players in the online video ecosystem and landing blue-chip advertisers and publishers.

Before joining Tremor Media, Ms. Steele was an independent digital media and marketing consultant focused on creating and executing marketing, sales, and product development strategies for new media companies. Her clients included Disney-owned site T180 Studios and beauty advice site TotalBeauty.com. In her consulting role she provided services in strategic planning, brand positioning and architecture, marketing communications, PR, audience development, sales strategy, content syndication, and partnership development.

Prior to launching her consulting practice, Ms. Steele was the Director of Emerging Media & Online Advertising at Coca-Cola where she oversaw interactive marketing initiatives for Coca-Cola North America. In her three and a half years with the company, her responsibilities included interactive strategy, digital media and advertising, web site development, branded entertainment, mobile, gaming, and online promotions. She was also responsible for stewarding the company’s emerging media initiatives by identify, evaluating, and testing new technology and media partners in areas such as social media, in-store, mobile, and advanced video platforms.
