Ruckus Network Selects Tremor Media for In-Stream Ad Serving

Tremor’s Ad-inStream Platform Enables Delivery of Streaming Video Ads to Rapidly Expanding Ruckus® Community

HERNDON, Va., March 21, 2007 – Ruckus Network, Inc., the provider of the premier college-only multimedia service, today announced its selection of Tremor Media, a leading online video ad network and provider of the Ad–inStream platform, as their video ad serving partner. Under the agreement, Tremor’s Ad-inStream platform will provide Ruckus with a video advertising serving solution to simplify the process of scheduling and serving pre-roll, mid-roll and post-roll video ads to the Ruckus® community. In addition, Ruckus will leverage Tremor’s global ad network, which currently serves more than 75 million unique users per month, to effectively market and monetize its video content.

With Tremor’s Ad-inStream technology, Ruckus can integrate highly targeted video advertising into its content library, which now consists of more than 2.7 million free, high fidelity, officially licensed, music tracks from every major label, including an expansive list of independent labels, as well as 4,500 movies and videos. Ruckus also plans to expand its video offerings and will further leverage Ad-inStream to create additional inventory for the delivery of optimized and contextual video ads to different target groups.

“Since moving to our advertising-supported model last year, Ruckus has become wildly popular – both with our end user customers, the rapidly growing Ruckus community – as well as the growing stable of blue-chip marketers and advertisers seeking to reach the ‘pure’ 18-24 demographic,” said Allen Baum, Chief Revenue Officer, Ruckus Network. “Tremor Media allows us to deliver highly targeted ads and powerful, rich media applications that Ruckus users find to be engaging, yet non-invasive, as they enjoy the continuously expanding library of rich content and social networking features of our service.”

“Our partnership with Ruckus is a natural fit for both companies, as well as our respective customers,” said Jason Glickman, CEO, Tremor Media. “Ruckus’ adoption of the Ad-inStream platform enables them to deliver video advertising to produce a great experience for users, as well as advertisers looking to reach a highly viral and loyal college-aged audience.”

Tremor’s Ad-inStream technology features near real-time tracking of delivery and usage metrics and enables video ads based on multiple content formats and bit rates. The underlying technology streamlines the ad-serving deployment process by leveraging video content and ad targeting parameters from new or existing online campaigns.
