Product Usability Specialist

Job Description:

The Product Usability Specialist is a highly visible and rewarding role within a rapidly growing venture-backed startup at the intersection of the online video advertising and media industries.  The Product Usability Specialist has responsibility for guiding development and internal/external education of Tremor’s publisher and advertiser product offerings.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
  • Work within Tremor’s Product team to establish best practices in use of Tremor’s products and help define and evangelize product features for Tremor’s advertiser and/or publisher client base.
  • Help devise, guide and maintain a market-driven product roadmap that underpins the overall business strategy and goals of Tremor.
  • Develop a deep understanding of advertiser and publisher video advertising needs and requirements, as well as industry best practices and trends, through research and close collaboration with internal business teams and existing client base.
  • Coordinate with Tremor’s business and engineering teams in defining, scoping, designing and building best-of-breed product features, helping to translate business requirements into tangible, well-defined functional product requirements and specifications for the engineering team.
  • Educate and train internal business teams on product best practices and key benefits and features.  Lead product demonstrations for internal and external clients.
  • Ensure usability and scalability of designed products and product features.
  • Research and track competitive landscape for online video advertising.
  • Work with the Tremor marketing personnel to position and sell the Tremor’s products to advertisers and publishers.
  • Own ongoing maintenance of third party technical integrations with the product, including any third party ad server rich media templates.
Specific Qualifications Include:
  • 5 + years of product management and/or product usability experience within the internet/internet advertising industry
  • Expertise with one or more of the following publisher ad serving technologies:  DFP, OAS, Atlas AdManager, or AdTech
  • Experience with online video and/or rich media preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively manage multiple internal and external relationships
  • A solid business background (MBA a plus), comfort with business analytics, and a sound, intuitive feel for business
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills; active listening abilities
  • Superior project management skills with the ability to think strategically and work tactically
  • A "can-do" attitude with a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic; comfort with multi-tasking and handling conflicting priorities
